Evelyn Mae (Schlecht) Webelhuth, 88, of Arnold who died Feb. 13, 2024, at Mercy Hospice South-De Greeff Hospice House in St. Louis. Mrs. Webelhuth was a member of the Holy Family Parish of Arnold. Born May 18, 1935, in Fenton, she was the daughter of the late Julia (Diehl) and Joseph Schlecht.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years: Fred R. Webelhuth.
She is survived by six children: Ronald (Genevieve) Webelhuth, Jeannine (the late Donald) Eschelbach, Karen (Joseph) Buehler, Wm. Randy (Laurie) Webelhuth, Connie (Timothy) Henrion and Wendy (Jeffrey) Muschong; 16 grandchildren: Joseph (Jen) Buehler Jr., Anna (Joe Gadell) Webelhuth, Katherine (Kyle) Gruenkemeyer, Emily (Jason) Logan, Gregory (Danielle) Eschelbach, David (the Rev. Kathleen) Henrion, Melissa (Andrew) Hodge, Bradley (Catherine) Buehler, Amy Eschelbach, Elizabeth Henrion, Ellen Henrion, Jessica Schulze, Ashley Webelhuth, Jamie (Alec) Schroff, Jordan Schulze and Logan Muschong Arnold; 21 great-grandchildren: Drew, Maddy and Brady Buehler, Maeve, Bret and Gus Gadell, Eli, Josie and Sydney Gruenkemeyer, Louisa and Larson Logan, Robert and Jack Eschelbach, Calvin, Leah and Margaret Henrion, Jacob and Amelia Hodge, Hunter Jensen, Rhett and Jayce Buehler; and many other family members and friends,
A funeral service was held Feb.17 at Holy Family Parish in Arnold, officiated by the Rev. John Brennell. Burial took place in Resurrection Cemetery in St. Louis. Memorials may be made to Masses or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Arrangements were under the direction of Fey Funeral Home.
