Dorothy Mae Duncan, 95, of Festus died Jan. 30, 2024, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mrs. Duncan was a member of Our Lady Church of Festus, where she belonged to the Prayer Shawl Ministry. Born Nov. 9, 1928, in Festus, she was the daughter of the late Emma Jane (Martin) and Alfred C. Murphy.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Perry Duncan.
She is survived by two daughters: Mary Kay (the late Paul) Wolfe of St. Charles and Sue Duncan of Crystal City; and a granddaughter: Katie Duncan.
She was preceded in death by a son: David (Lynn survives of Chesterfield) Duncan; and three siblings: Mildred J. Morgan, James Murphy and Joseph R. Murphy.
Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. until a service at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W Main, in Festus, officiated by Deacon Gene Mattler. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Crystal City. Memorials may be made to Our Lady Church, 1550 St. Marys Lane, Festus, 63028, or Festus Public Library, 400 W Main, Festus, 63028. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
