Dennis Edward Jackson, 74, of Festus died April 25, 2025, at his home. Mr. Jackson was a union painter with District Council 58 of the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades. He was an avid outdoorsman and spent countless hours hunting and fishing. Born May 6, 1950, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Dorothy Ellen (Vinyard) and John Edmond Jackson.
He is survived by a daughter: Brooke Mahar of Hazelwood; a son: Christopher Jackson of Crystal City; four grandchildren: Aaron R. Jackson, Logan H. Mahar, Wyatt C. Mahar and Owen L. Jackson; and a nephew: Jacob Jackson.
He was preceded in death by two brothers: Harold Allen “Hart” Jackson and Donald Jackson.
A memorial gathering is scheduled from 5 p.m. until a celebration of life service at 7 p.m. Monday, May 5, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
