Carolyn Mary (Manne) Butler, 80, of Bonne Terre died June 27, 2026, in St. Louis. Mrs. Butler worked as a receptionist for Crawford, where she was known for her kind and welcoming spirit. Described as a “saint,” she was also known for the care she gave to others, especially her husband. She enjoyed cooking for those she loved and, most of all, reading her Bible and living out her faith. She will be remembered for her compassion and selfless nature. Born Nov. 22, 1945, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Henry Manne and Dorothy (Pavelka) Manne.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Jackie Butler.
She is survived by a son: Bryan Butler of Bonne Terre; two brothers: Richard (Carolyn) Manne of Arnold and Doug (Pat) Manne of Mount Vernon, Ill.; a sister: Barb (the late Joe) Green of Washington, Mo.; two grandsons: Colten and Logan; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other family members and friends.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Monday, July 6, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins Drive, in Festus. A funeral service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 7, at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Ryan Sutton. Interment will follow in Bernie Cemetery in Bernie. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
