Arlyn Edward Witte, 100, of De Soto died Sept. 8, 2025. Mr. Witte was a decorated WWII veteran and a 37-year Ameren retiree. He loved to tinker around his homes in De Soto and Florida. He also loved to tell stories, argue with anyone who would take the bait and spend time with his dog. Born May 5, 1925, in Lemay, he was the son of the late Frank and Viola (Bennett).
He was preceded in death by his wife: Scooter (Mary Pascal).
He is survived by two daughters: Linda (Jerry) Frintrup and Anita (Mike) Harrison; a son: David; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
He also was preceded in death by a daughter and son-in-law: Marlyn and Ken Exler; a daughter-in-law: Susan (Burgan); and a grandson: Jeffery Keller.
