Travis Armand James Jr., 20, of St. Louis died Nov. 20, 2023. Mr. James worked as a clerk for Walgreen’s. He enjoyed riding dirt bikes, traveling, music and spending time with his friends and family. Born Feb. 11, 2003, in Crystal City, he was the son of Danielle (Ted Dukes) Parnell of Festus and Travis (Stasha) James Sr. of St. Louis.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by three brothers: Ahneyus D. James of Festus, Imhotep James of St. Louis and Corey Wade of St. Louis; nine sisters: Dezi Dukes of Festus, Dayla Dukes of Festus, Demmi Dukes of Festus, Indigo James of St. Louis, Seven James of St. Louis, Kilanna Bland of St. Louis, Ava Barron of St. Louis, Jordan Barron of St. Louis and Carley Barron of St. Louis; three grandparents: Danny and Michelle Parnell of Festus and Amanda James of Crystal City; two aunts: Stacie Blanks of Crystal City and Jamie Parnell of Potosi; and many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by a grandfather: Earl James.
Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until services at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29, at Mahn Funeral Home Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins Ave., in Festus. Burial will be in Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crystal City. Memorials may be made to the family’s Go Fund Me page. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.
