Joseph ‘Joe’ Patrick Daugherty

Joseph “Joe” Patrick Daugherty, 89, of Cadet died March 30, 2025, at home surrounded by family. Mr. Daugherty had been employed in the LP gas industry. He was a charter member of the Potosi Elks Lodge and a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Tiff. He enjoyed listening to bluegrass, woodworking, gardening, fishing, being outside working on the farm and spending time with family and friends. Born on March 21, 1936, in Blackwell, he was the son of the late Mary E. (DeClue) and Thomas T. Daugherty.

He is survived by his wife of 71 years: Juanita Marie (Thurman) Daugherty of Cadet; sons: Andrew (Bonnie) Daugherty of Cadet, R. Tim (Jean) Daugherty of Blackwell and Anthony Daugherty of Colorado Springs, Colo.; daughters: Connie (Wilfred) Boyer of Cadet and Patricia (Russell Bange) Daugherty of Park Hills; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and three on the way; many other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by brothers: J. Glen Daugherty, Tom Daugherty, Cecil Daugherty, Mike Daugherty, Regis Daugherty and James Daugherty; sisters: Sister Marie Daugherty, Helen Sander, Lucy Lally and Patricia Meyer.
