Mildred V. Noakes, 90, of Arnold died Sept. 4, 2017, at St. Anthony’s Medical Center in St. Louis County. Mrs. Noakes was a homemaker. Born Oct. 29, 1926, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Virginia (McCall) Matlock. She was preceded in death by her husband: Joseph B. Noakes.
She is survived by a son: Steven (the late Nancy) Noakes of Tallahassee, Fla.; four daughters: Marsha (Donald) Ney of Arnold, Myra (Wayne) Casey of Arnold, Marla (Richard) Nelson of St. Clair and Merna (Ed) Sansoucie of Imperial; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a brother: James (Ruby) Matlock of St. James.
She was preceded in death by a son: Kenneth Noakes; and five siblings: Thomas Matlock, Laura Jones, Warren Russel Matlock, Edith Jenkins and Juanita Jenkins.
Visitation is at 10 a.m. and a funeral service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, in south St. Louis County, officiated by Jeremy Minster. Burial is in the Antonia Cemetery, 3904 Oak Crest Drive, in Barnhart. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis Funeral Home.
