Mary K. Baisch, 83, of De Soto died Jan. 31, 2021, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mrs. Baisch and her husband owned and operated Baisch Nursing Home until their retirement. She was a very active member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and served the church in many capacities. She was also a charter member of Families of Calvary Cemetery Inc. Born March 16, 1937, in De Soto, she was the daughter of the late John V. and Margaret “Mae” (Wall) Krodinger.
She is survived by her husband: Warren R. Baisch of De Soto; five children: Dianne (Dave) Gibson of Osage Beach and Katherine (Coleman) Berry, Bruce (Carol) Baisch, Bart Baisch and
Blaine Baisch, all of De Soto; three siblings: Cindy (Dr. Jeff) Copeland of St. Charles, Carl (Debbie) Krodinger of Pensacola, Fla., and Ron (Susie) Krodinger of De Soto; a sister-in-law: Valda Krodinger of De Soto; a brother-in-law: Joseph Sainato of Chesterfield; six grandchildren: Jacob (Rachel) Baisch, Stephanie (Dave) La Torre, Dylan (Briann) Gibson, Alex Gibson, Sydney Berry and Coleman Berry; five great-grandchildren: Maris Baisch, Ruby June Baisch, Tristan Gibson, Lucy Gibson and Clara Jo Baisch; and a nephew: Gary (Bambi) Haverstick of De Soto.
She was preceded in death by a sister: Patricia Sainato; two brothers: William Krodinger and Gene Krodinger; and two grandsons: Victor Baisch and Jeremy Baisch.
Private funeral services were officiated by Father Alexander Anderson. Burial was in the Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum in De Soto. Memorials may be made to St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church or Adopt-An-Angel, both at 504 S. Third Street, De Soto, 63020; or to Families of Calvary Cemetery, P.O. Box 222, De Soto, 63020. Arrangements were under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto.
