Mary Josephine “Mary Jo” (Pashia) Hopkins, 67, Hillsboro
Mary Josephine “Mary Jo” (Pashia) Hopkins, 67, of Hillsboro died July 30, 2021. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan. She enjoyed putting on makeup and using jewelry to accessorize and match her clothing, and she also liked playing cards games, especially euchre, rummy and canasta. She loved spending time with family and friends and will be remembered for her smile and loving personality. Born Dec. 17, 1953, in Ironton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph “John” R. and Mary Lee (DeGonia) Pashia.
She is survived by a son: Christopher (Anita) Hahn of Cadet; three brothers: Joseph L. (Margaret) Pashia of Esbon, Kan., Philip G. (Angela) Pashia of Cadet and Stephen R. (Cherry) Pashia of Bellevue, Neb.; a sister: Brenda M. (Pashia) Droege of De Soto; a special friend: Jennifer Tina Pashia; four grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.
Funeral services were held Aug. 4 at Moore Funeral Home in Potosi, officiated by the Rev. Chet Bogus and Monsignor James Hanson. Memorials may be made to the Ronal McDonald House. Arrangements were under the direction of Moore Funeral Home in Potosi.
