Loretta Schrader, 87, of Barnhart died Nov. 15, 2018, at her home. Mrs. Schrader was known for raising her children and grandchildren. She was born Dec. 25, 1930, in St. Louis, the daughter of the late William and Loretta (Hayes) Otten. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Schrader.
She is survived by nine children: Carlyn Schrader of Arnold, William (Terri) Schrader of Hillsboro, Mary Catherine Schrader of Barnhart, Ronald (Carol) Schrader of Fenton, Suzanne (Steve) Skoklo of Hollister, Sandra Blankenship of Arnold, Rosemarie (Curt) Stobie of High Ridge, Robert (Shellie) Schrader of De Soto and Stephanie Schrader-Johnson of Imperial; a brother: Jim Otten of Oklahoma; a sister-in-law: Rosemary C. Schrader; 20 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by a son: Walter Schrader Jr., six brothers; one sister; one great-grandchild: Adam; and a son-in-law: Robert.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19, at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy. 30, in Cedar Hill. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, at St. John’s Catholic Church, 4614 Blue Springs Road, in Imperial. Burial is in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
