Lois Arlene Stites, 86, of Festus died Oct. 24, 2020, at her home. Mrs. Stites was a retired office manager for Blue Fountain Mobile Home Sales in Festus and a member of Sacred Heart Church in Crystal City. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, and traveling with her husband in their RV, especially on fishing trips to Florida in the winter and Canada in the summer. She was born May 22, 1934, in De Soto, the daughter of the late Myrtle (Weber) and Louis Anthony Young. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years: Ralph Stites.
She is survived by three sons: Mark (Rita) Stites of Festus, Gregory (Sandy) Stites of Festus and Bradley (Christy) Stites of Crystal City; five grandchildren: Andrew Stites, Mallory (Matt Windsor) Stites, Cody Stites, Matthew (Rebecca) Stites and Kristen (Zach) Faulkner; three great-grandchildren: Eli Faulkner, Brooks Stites and Benjamin Windsor; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three sisters: Wilma (the late Earl) Wagner, Anna Mae Blankenship and Wanda Young.
A memorial Mass at Sacred Heart Church in Crystal City and burial in the Ebenezer/Hope United Church of Christ Cemetery in De Soto will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements were under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
