Lea Troxel, 72, of De Soto died Nov. 23, 2019, in Crystal City. Mrs. Troxel was a homemaker and loved spending time with her children. Born Aug. 25, 1947, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Bertha (Callahan) and Harry Walls.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Richard A. Troxel.
She is survived by four sons: Mike R. Troxel of De Soto, Richard A. Troxel II of De Soto, Brodrick A. Troxel of De Soto and Paul A. Troxel of St. Louis; three daughters: Melisa D. Troxel of Mapaville, Nikki D. Troxel of De Soto and Deziree (Emerson) Bequette of Farmington; five grandchildren: Nicole, Kimberly, Michael, Bethany and Levi; and a great-grandchild: Paislee.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29, at Robert D. Brown Funeral Home, 103 Fourth St., in Hillsboro. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, at the funeral home. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Nov. 30 in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Potosi. Memorials may be made to Pony Bird Inc., 1 Pony Bird Lane, Mapaville, 63065. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert D.
