Kathlynne Lee “Katie” Rosa, 24, of De Soto died Sept. 21, 2016, in rural Jefferson County. Miss Rosa was a former nurse’s aide at Pony Bird Inc. and also worked at the Mapaville State School. Born Oct. 25, 1991, in St. Charles, she was the daughter of Jeff (Vicki) Rosa of Hillsboro and Amy Lynne (Sumers) Rosa of Mill Spring.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by two daughters: Jadyn Lynne Murray of De Soto and Lillian Renee Saunsoucia of De Soto; three brothers: Jason A. Rosa of Hillsboro, Joshua A. Rosa of De Soto and Harley J. Iverson of Hillsboro; three sisters: Brooke M. Rosa of Hillsboro, Kadi M. Sadar of North Carolina and Cassie Summers of Mill Spring; her grandparents: Chester and Mona (Blake) Rosa of Arnold, Janet L. Carpenter of Mill Spring, Donald L. Summers Sr. of Moscow Mills and Gloria Gibson of Hillsboro; an uncle: Donald L. Summers of St. Louis; and seven nieces and nephews: Destiny, Phyonex, Dakota, Shyann, David, Issac and Daisy.
A memorial gathering is scheduled for 3 p.m. and a memorial service for 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27, at Robert D. Brown Funeral Home, 103 Fourth St., in Hillsboro. Memorials may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert D. Brown Funeral Home.
