Kathleen Marie Politte, 72, of Festus died July 1, 2020, in Festus. Mrs. Politte devoted her younger years to raising her daughters, then embarked on a series of travel adventures with her husband, including a trip to Italy to see the Pope. She had a near-perfect attendance record at the games and other events of her children and grandchildren, and enjoyed simple pleasures like Three Kings Donuts, big pancakes and Polar Express Nights. She was a woman of faith who exhibited great patience, strength, grace, and love. Born in St. Louis, she was the daughter of Caroline Ehret and the late Herman Ehret.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her best friend and husband of 48 years: Raymond Politte; two daughters: Angeline (Marcus) Stucke and Jocelyn (Sean) Canan; six grandchildren: Isaac, Rowan, Quinn and Nadia Stucke and Scarlet and Jude Canan; and a sister: Carol (Larry) Crouse Whitsett.
She was preceded in death by a brother: John (Sandy) Ehret.
A memorial Mass to celebrate Kathleen’s life will be held with family and friends at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Our Lady School Art Department, 1599 St. Mary Lane, Festus, 63028. Arrangements were under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
