Joan Louise Norris, 81, of De Soto died Nov. 14, 2020, at her home. Mrs. Norris was a member of DeSoto Christian Church. She enjoyed bingo, reading and spending time with her family. She was born Jan. 15, 1939, in St. Louis, the daughter of the late Harry and Ida (Voges) Hanley. She was preceded in death by her husband: Robert L. Norris Sr.
She is survived by three sons: Eddie Norris of De Soto, Robert Norris Jr. of Jacksonville, Fla., and William Michael Norris of De Soto; three daughters: Phylliss Jean (Carl) Flottmann of De Soto, Helen McMahon of Jacksonville, Fla., and Carrie Justine of St. Louis; a brother: Jack (Vicki) Hanley of Ballwin; two sisters: Virginia Allen of Texas and Marlene DeClue of De Soto; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by a brother: Clarence Hanley; and a sister: Norma Karl.
Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, at Mahn Funeral Home, 900 N. Main St., in De Soto. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 20, at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.
