Janie Maebell Yount, 83, of Cedar Hill, died May 24, 2019, at her home. Born June 16, 1935, in Palmer, she was the daughter of the late Steven Welker and Flossie (White) Welker. She was preceded in death by her husband: Marvin Leon Yount, whom she married in June 1951.
She is survived by four children: Steven (Karen) Yount, Paul (Lisa) Yount, Pamela (Donald) Swaringim and Peggy Yount; three brothers: Carl Welker, Dale Welker and Max (Fern) Welker; seven grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
She also was preceded in death by one daughter: Patricia Coffman; one son-in-law: Bobby Coffman; and two sisters-in-law: Verna May Welker and Virgie Massie Welker.
Funeral services were May 26 at DeClue Funeral Home. Burial was at Antioch Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of DeClue Funeral Home in Potosi.
