Dugan, Harry

Harry S. Dugan Jr., 78, of O’Fallon died Dec. 3, 2015, in St. Charles. Mr. Dugan spent his childhood in Lemay and graduated from Hancock High School. He was born Jan. 9, 1937, in St. Louis, the son of the late Genevieve (Drennan) and Harry S. Dugan Sr.

He is survived by his wife: Sue Ellen (Dauernhiem) Dugan of O’Fallon; two daughters: Renee (Gregory) Abel and Robin (Jimmy) Govro, both of Festus; a son: Harry S. Dugan III of Festus; two sisters: Diana (Ed) Schulte of Webster Groves and Betty Luke of Farmington; a sister-in-law: Rose Dugan of Lemay; nine grandchildren: Jennifer (Jerry) Politte of Hillsboro, Cindy Marsden of Kirkwood, Jimmy (Nicole) Govro of Hillsboro, Steven Dugan of Festus, Amy (Tim) Hampton of Hillsboro, Amber Govro of Festus, Casey (Lauren) Abel of Wichita Falls, Texas, Katie Dugan of Festus and Emma Dugan of Festus; and seven great-grandchildren: Kailey, Abigail, Ella, Katelyn, Mason, Nathaniel and Adam.

He was preceded in death by two sisters: Opal “Sissy” Lahm and Joan Dugan; three brothers: Edward, Johnny and Donald Dugan; two brothers-in-law: Phil Lahm and Ben Luke; and a sister-in-law: Dorothy Dugan.

A funeral service was held Dec. 8 at Robert D. Brown Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Burial will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Lemay at a later date. Memorials may be made to the St. Louis Crisis Nursery. Arrangements were under the direction of Robert D. Brown Funeral Home.
