Gwitha Darlene Quint, 89, of Cedar Hill died Sept. 12, 2020, in Lake St. Louis. Mrs. Quint was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Texas for many years, serving as senior vice president of the district. She was involved in school programs and was extremely active in the House Springs Senior Center. She had a fun-loving spirit and a personality that drew people to her, and loved reading, cooking, working outdoors and traveling. Born Aug. 9, 1931, in Johnstown, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Margaret “Peggy” (Varner) Craig. She was preceded in death by her husband: William H. Quint, whom she married June 29, 1993.
She is survived by seven children: Carson (James Lisac) Randolph of Peoria, Ariz., Alan (Sonja) Kennedy of Lake St. Louis, Robert (Robin) Kennedy of Alvin, Texas, Lisa (Robert) Sallee of Highland, Ill., John (Gwendolyn) Kennedy of Barnhart, Kathleen (Joseph) Dalton of St. Louis and Kellie (Henry) Green of Hot Springs, Ark.; one stepson: Patrick (Rhonda) Quint of Columbia, Ill.; 17 grandchildren: William Randolph, Brittney Hennessey, Brennan Kennedy, Amy Merritt, Jason Sallee, Corey Sallee, Derek Sallee, John Kennedy IV, Andrea Escobar, Rylee Kennedy, Lauren Dalton, Blake Dalton, Jillian Kennon, Gabrielle Dalton, Jordan Guillermo Kennedy-Reyes, Aliyah Kennedy and Kenya Kennedy-Green; 19 great-grandchildren; four siblings: Ralph Craig, James (Dorthy) Devine, Theral (Gloria) Craig and Colleen (Larry) Wolfe; and numerous extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by four siblings: Raymon Craig, Garon Craig, BarthAlan Craig and Martha Wolfgang; and two stepchildren: Michael Quint and Thomas Quint.
Funeral services and burial were private. Arrangements were under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary in Cedar Hill.
