Eva Colleen (Bowman) Landers, 83, of Hillsboro died Oct. 29, 2017, in Crystal City. Mrs. Landers was a retired licensed practical nurse who had worked at St. Mary’s Hospital in St. Louis. Born Feb. 2, 1934, in Conception Junction, she was the daughter of the late Annona Belle (Shipley) and Richard Bowman.
She is survived by her husband: Arthur Ray “Art” Landers; four children: Robert Lee (Vicki) Landers of House Springs, Sandra Kay (Earl) Maxwell of Overland, Steven Ray (Cynthia) Landers of Dahlonega, Ga., and Randal Leo (Heidi) Landers of Festus; two sisters: Louise Day of Hillsboro and Delores Brooks of Wheeling; a brother: Fred (Stephanie) Bowman of Washington; a sister-in-law: Regina Bowman of Hillsboro; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers: Richard Leroy Bowman, Larry Dale Bowman and Gerald Glenn Bowman.
Visitation is scheduled from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1, at Robert D. Brown Funeral Home, 103 Fourth St., in Hillsboro. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 2, at the funeral home. Burial is in the Hillsboro Cemetery.
