Donna Rose (Barnes) Hearst, 88, formerly of Barnhart, died Dec. 27, 2017, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City. Mrs. Hearts was a homemaker and a member of Westview Missionary Baptist Church in Jefferson City. She enjoyed traveling together with her husband, especially to Bible conferences. Born March 6, 1929, in Pevely, she was the daughter of the late Catherine Ida (Burdick) and William Thurman Barnes. She was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 70 years, Emmett Hearst, who died July 6, 2016.
She is survived by four children: David (Sharon) Hearst of Hermann, Michael Rae Lynn) Hearst of Jefferson City, Timothy (Gail) Hearst of Pevely and Dawn (Wayne) King of Sullivan; nine grandchildren: Tracy (Mark) Wegman, Chad (Jamie) Hearst, Racheal Hearst, Derek (Angela) Hearst, Joshua (Jill) Hearst, Jennifer (Jeremy) Holzer, Jason King, Keith (Mandy) King and Gabriel Hearst; 14 great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Beverly Ruess of Crystal City and Eve Westfield of Indianapolis, Ind.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3, at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, in south St. Louis County. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, at the funeral home. Burial is in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to Westview Missionary Baptist Church, 1032 Lomo Drive, Jefferson City, 65109. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis Funeral home.
