Elfrink, Daniel

Daniel Elfrink, 88, of Arnold died Oct. 17, 2018, at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis County. Mr. Elfrink was a retired letter carrier in Lemay and a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Arnold. He served with the U.S. Navy Reserve and was a volunteer at the Arnold Food Pantry. Born Feb. 28, 1930, in Leopold, he was the son of the late Leo and Minnie Elfrink. He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years: Betty Elfrink.

He is survived by three sons: Steven Elfrink of St. Louis, Timothy Elfrink of Arnold and Randy Elfrink of Barnhart; two daughters: Patricia Pierce of Imperial and Julie Elfrink of Bloomsdale; 10 grandchildren: Holly, Sarah, Daniel, Rachel, Troy, Brandon, Lily, Erin, Meagan and Crystal; 22 great-grandchildren: Drew, Delaney, Morgan, Aurora, Gawain, Gabriel, Ephraim, Simon, Killian, Christian, Molly, Russell, Bennet, Hailey, Mia, Colton, Julianna, Tristan, William, Enkhriimaa, Eveelmaa and Ashidbayar; and four brothers: Norbert, Alvin, Charles and Nick Elfrink.

He was preceded in death by a brother: Richard Elfrink.

A funeral services was held Oct. 22 at Immaculate Conception Church, officiated by Father Tim Foley. Burial was in the Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to the Alzheimer’s Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis Funeral Home in south St. Louis County.
