Charles E. Rendleman Sr., 78, of Hillsboro died June 7, 2019, at his home. Mr. Rendleman was a retired field superintendent with Nooter Construction. Born Sept. 21, 1940, in Wolf Lake, Ill., he was the son of the late Virginia Pearl (Lindsey) and John Thomas Rendleman. He was preceded in death by his wife: Joyce Ann (Jones) Rendleman.
He is survived by nine children: Tom Rendleman of Cadet, Teresa Rendleman of Hillsboro, Bryan Rendleman of Festus, Henry McAllister of St. Louis, Jim McAllister of House Springs, Cindy Fischer of Catawissa, Carol Wilson of Reidsville, N.C., Cheryl Hudson of Imperial and Christina Lee of Houston, Texas; eight siblings: Doris Rendleman of Crothersville, Ind., Sharon Smith of Moscow Mills, Nancy Greer of Spring Arbor, Mich., Pam Cocos of Imperial, Virginia Williams of Sesser, Ill., Angelina Downs of Centralia, Ill., Keren Sue Luaders of Troy and John Rendleman of Grand Tower, Ill.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two children: Charles E. Rendleman Jr. and Katherine “Kay” Jinkerson; and a sister: Janet Parker.
Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 11, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., in De Soto. Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, at Walker Hill Cemetery in Grand Tower, Ill., officiated by Denver Glenn Jr. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
