Duncan, Brian

Brian William Richard Duncan, 50, of St. Clair died March 16, 2023, at Mercy Hospital Washington in Washington, Mo. Mr. Duncan was a carpenter. He learned how to play guitar at an early age and played venues to raise money for Heroes Against Heroin. He was a mechanic, fixing abandoned lawn mowers and motorcycles. He enjoyed deer hunting, playing music, and spending time with family. Born May 5, 1972, in St. Louis, he was the son of Jacquelyn (Foister) Duncan of De Soto and the late Leo Chester Duncan.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife: Deborah “Debbie” (Duke) Duncan; a son: William R. “Billy” (Bryce Ronecker) Duncan; two stepchildren: Jacob Pruitt and Chelsea (Jordan Parks) Pruitt, both of St. Clair;  a sister: Misty (Larry) Willhite of House Springs; a brother: Kenneth (Dawn) Duncan of Hillsboro; two grandsons: Leo William Duncan and Lawson Gene Duncan; and two nephews: D. J. Willhite and Micah Willhite. He was preceded in death by a son: Brian Leo (Michaela Hoyt survives of Festus) Duncan.

Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until a funeral service at noon Monday, March 27, at First Assembly of God Church, 12635 Hwy. 21, in De Soto, officiated by Pastor Derek Jones. Burial is in the Shepherd Hills Cemetery in Barnhart. Memorials may be made to Teen Challenge or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
