Billie Mae Steimel, 92, of De Soto, formerly of Festus, died Feb. 14, 2019, at her home. Mrs. Steimel was a homemaker and a member of Radiant Life Church. She enjoyed reading her Bible, general reading and writing poetry, crocheting, painting and socializing. Born May 7, 1926, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late William and Frances (Bowen) Henson. She was preceded in death by her husband: Harold W. Steimel.
She is survived by one son: Martin (Terry) Steimel of Cedar Hill; two daughters: Cindy (Michael) Hermann of Crystal City and Mary (Bryan) Moore of De Soto; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by one brother: Frank Henson; and four sisters: Erma Hanson, Irene Boan, Marie Carlson and Pauline Henson.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins Ave., in Festus. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, at Radiant Life Church, 11533 Gamel Cemetery Rd., in Festus, officiated by the Rev. Randy Gray. Burial will be at the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks in St. Louis. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
