Barbara Louise (Bodenschatz) Hendricks, 79, died June 24, 2020. Mrs. Hendricks was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She will be remembered for her generous and loving heart, her welcoming and accepting ways, her sense of humor and her fun personality. She loved being outdoors, working in the yard, gardening, her flowers and her St. Louis Cardinals. Born May 11, 1941, in Ste. Genevieve, she was the daughter of the late Hugo Henry and Alma Elizabeth (Schmidt) Bodenschatz.
She is survived by her husband of 24 years: Charles Hendricks; six children: David G. (Vicki) Mueller of Sullivan, Cindy L. (Paul) Creech of Barnhart, Susan Schaefer of St. Louis, Janeen (Sam) Curless of St. Louis, Corinne Jacobs of Barnhart and Brett Hendricks of Barnhart; 15 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother: Glennon Bodenschatz; and a great-grandson: Riley Vogt.
Visitation is scheduled from 5-9 p.m. Monday, June 29, at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy. 30, in Cedar Hill. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
