Alice Marie Booth, 91, of Festus died June 20, 2019, at her home. Mrs. Booth was a member of First Baptist Church of Festus-Crystal City. She had worked at the Brown Shoe Company’s factory in De Soto and the Pittsburg Plate Glass Company’s Crystal City plant. She also had waitressed at the Summit Cafe of De Soto and delivered for Fults Florist in Crystal City. Born Oct. 17, 1927, in Festus, she was the daughter of the late Alice Mary (Lock) and Dewey George Cage.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Charles W. Booth Sr.

She is survived by one granddaughter: Yolanda (Matt) Olinger of Festus; one sister: Mary Ellen (Joe) Politte of Festus; two brothers: Billy David (Pat) Cage of Wyoming and John Leroy Cage of Festus; a sister-in-law: Maggie Cage of Pevely and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one son: Charles W. Booth Jr.; five sisters: Eunice Cage, Marcella Lee (the late Russell) Fitzsimmons, Betty June (the late Lester) McClanahan, Sharon L. Kennedy and Anna Mae (the late Manuel) Yglesia; and five brothers: Howard Dewey (the late Alease) Cage, Dewey William (the late Ada) Cage, Donnell Franklin Cage, August (the late Edith) Cage and Vernon Norman (the late Margaret) Cage.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral services at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus, officiated by J. Aaron Sutton. Burial will be in the Hillsboro City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Hillsboro City Cemetery.
