Ada Irene Brauch, 85, of Ware died Dec. 20, 2014, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mrs. Brauch was a homemaker and worked as a real estate agent for Buxton Realty. She was a member of Pilgrim’s Rest Baptist Church in Ware. Born Sept. 5, 1929, in Ware, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Gertrude (Sullens) Pierce. She was preceded in death by her husband: Robert Clifton “Clif” Brauch.
She is survived by three children: Judy Brauch Long of Dittmer, Kathryn (David) Pratt of Festus and Daniel (Mary) Brauch of Jamestown; three siblings: Mae (Dale) Huskey of Ware, Lois (the late Robert) Weber of Crestwood and Claude (Mary Ann) Pierce of Bridgeton; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by two daughters: Mary Clifton and Elizabeth “Beth” Tindell; a son: David Brauch Sr.; and a brother: Staff Sgt. Darrel Pierce.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 22, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main in De Soto. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 23, at Pilgrim’s Rest Baptist Church in Ware, officiated by Pastor David Evans. Burial is in the Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery in Ware. Memorials may be made to the Pilgrim’s Rest Baptist Church Building Fund or to Pilgrim’s Rest Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
