All 21 Windsor C-1 School District administrators and directors are receiving an average 4.4 percent increase in their compensation packages, which include salaries and benefits, for the new school year, which started July 1 and runs through June 30, 2026. The salaries range from $172,480 for Superintendent Jason King to $48,422 for Mandy Hard, who works in payroll.
King’s new salary is up from $165,808 in FY25.
“Administrative raises are the same as (the certified and noncertified staff),” King said.
The Board of Education approved the raises in June as part of the overall 2026 fiscal year budget.
The certified and noncertified employees raises include pay raises of 3.53 percent plus one step increase on the salary schedule for more experience and education. All told, the district has 405 employees, King said.
The 4.4 percent figure takes into account salaries, as well as benefits, like insurance and tuition incentives, said Mike Rickermann, the district’s assistant superintendent. He said the compensation increases will add a total of $98,727 to the FY26 budget.
Michael Dubis, president of the Board of Education, said the board appreciates Windsor’s administrators and directors.
“We have a great thing going at Windsor,” he said. “We do our best to keep our salaries competitive to retain our top-notch administrators and directors, which is so important to keep us moving in the right direction.”
Dubis said board members must keep public money in mind while maintaining competitive compensation packages.
“The hardest thing to do is balance keeping the salaries competitive and being fiscally responsible for the patrons of the district,” he said.
