The Way to Go photography contest asks readers to look back on their travels from this summer and beyond.
The annual contest, sponsored by Grand Times, Leader Publications’ magazine for seniors, invites Jefferson County, Eureka and Wildwood readers aged 50 and older to send in their vacation pictures.
Photos can be from any vacation, new or old. There is a limit of two entries per person.
One lucky winner, drawn at random from all eligible entries, will take home $200.
Anyone who entered the contest in previous years is welcome to enter again, but please submit different photos for this year’s contest.
To be eligible for the contest, entries must include the following information:
■ Entrant’s name, age, address and phone number so that the winner may be contacted.
■ The date and place the photo was taken and by whom.
■ The names of any people in the photo.
■ Any other information about the picture and why it’s special.
The deadline to submit an entry for the contest is 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2.
Send entries by email to news@myleaderpaper.com or by mail to Way to Go, Leader Publications, P.O. Box 159, Festus, 63028. Or, drop them off at the Leader office at 503 N. Second St., in Festus. Photos accompanied by a self-addressed stamped envelope will be mailed back. The rest will be saved for pickup at the Leader office.
The contest is being held in conjunction with the Eureka Senior Expo, set for Wednesday, Oct. 22, at the Timbers of Eureka, 1 Coffey Park Lane.
The Oct. 16 issue of Grand Times will include information about the expo, along with as many entries as space allows. All entries will be posted on the Leader’s website at a later date.
For more information about the contest or about the Eureka Senior Expo, call the Leader at 636-931-7560.
