Eureka Police are trying to identify a man who was allegedly seen in surveillance video driving and then abandoning a stolen SUV on the Six Flags St. Louis’ parking lot. A 16-year-old St. Peters boy had lost his wallet and keys in the park before the SUV was driven by the unidentified man, police reported.
Officers were called just before midnight on Oct. 3 to the amusement park, 4900 Six Flags Road. The teenager told officers he had found a 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe that he had driven to the park in a different spot on the parking lot and that the SUV had been rummaged through, the report said.
Surveillance video allegedly showed a man driving the SUV at about 11 p.m. that day. The man abandoned the Santa Fe in the lot and was seen walking away, according to the report.
As of Monday, Oct. 13, the man had not been identified, and the teenager’s wallet and keys had not been recovered, Capt. Michael Tapp said. He asks anyone with information about the incident to call Eureka Police at 636-938-6600.
