A 39-year-old St. Louis man died when a car he was attempting to fix fell off a jack and crushed his head. Jameion Brown was killed in the accident, which occurred in the 1800 block of Ozark Drive off Church Road near the city’s dog park, Arnold Police reported.
Officers were called at about 8 p.m. Dec. 9 about the accident, which left Brown’s head pinned between a tire and a fender of a 2005 Toyota Matrix. It appeared the jack slipped while he was attempting to repair the car, according to the report.
A 32-year-old Fenton woman had been with Brown in the car before the accident. She told police they were going to a friend’s house in the area when the car could not make it up a hill on Ozark Drive, Arnold Police reported.
The woman said she left Brown and the car at about 7 p.m. to walk to their friend’s home. She returned about an hour later and saw the car had fallen on Brown, the report said.
