broken glass door

Rocks were thrown through windows or doors at several businesses in Jefferson and St. Louis Counties during a recent crime spree. One of those was the Subway restaurant, 1712 Missouri State Road, in Arnold, according to Arnold Police.

Officers were called at about 12:49 a.m. Oct. 13 to the sandwich shop after the building’s alarm went off. When they arrived, a rock was found on the floor, surrounded by glass from the door. The damage was estimated at about $800, and $44 in change was stolen from the restaurant, the report said.

Police believe the incident was connected to similar ones that occurred during the overnight hours between Oct. 12 and Oct. 13 at numerous area businesses, Arnold Police Cpl. Brett Ackermann said. He asks anyone with information about the incidents to call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
