Police are hoping receipts left in a pickup stolen in Arnold will help them identify a suspect in the theft. The receipts were from the Casino Queen in East St. Louis, Ill., and investigators planned to review surveillance video to try to identify the person who drove the pickup to the casino, Arnold Police Cpl. Brett Ackermann said Feb. 2.
Officers recovered a 2004 Ford F-250 on Jan. 29 in the 1500 block of Lakewood Landing in Imperial. The pickup was stolen between about 6:30 p.m. Jan. 25 and 6 a.m. Jan 26 from outside the Fox Chase Apartments in the 1500 block of Fox Chase in Arnold, the report said.
The pickup was locked and the owner, a 21-year-old Arnold man, had the keys when the truck was stolen. After the pickup was recovered, it was returned to the owner, Ackermann said.
