A pickup valued at about $45,000 recently was stolen from outside a home in the 2700 block of Crestview Drive in High Ridge. The victim said he believes the pickup was unlocked and the keys were left inside it, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reports.

The theft happened between 8:30 p.m. Oct. 17 and 8:25 a.m. Oct. 18.

In addition to the black 2013 Ford F150, a bag of tools and a bag of grass seed left in the pickup were stolen, the report said.

The victim told deputies that his wife said she heard a noise around 11 p.m. Oct. 17, which may have been the vehicle driving away, according to the report.

As of Oct. 27, the pickup had no been recovered. There were no suspects or arrests either, said Detective Sgt. James Kausler. Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office tip line at 636-797-5515.
