A Barnhart woman and a Florissant man each have been charged with felonies in connection with an alleged scheme to take photos of young girls in bathroom stalls. In addition, the two were charged for suspicion of sexually abusing a 4-year-old boy, St. Louis County Police reported.

On Tuesday (March 13), Heather McDorman, 29, of Barnhart was charged with one count of invasion of privacy, a class E felony, and three counts of statutory sodomy or attempted statutory sodomy, each one an unclassified felony.

Also on Tuesday, Zachary Hamby, 28, of Florissant was charged with one count of invasion of privacy, a class E felony, and two counts of statutory sodomy or attempted statutory sodomy, each one an unclassified felony, according to court records.

Invasion of privacy is punishable by a maximum of four years in prison, and the statutory sodomy charges each carries a penalty of 10 years to life in prison.

The two were in police custody today (March 15), each one on a $250,000 cash-only bond, St. Louis County Police reported.

McDorman was arrested Monday (March 12) after she allegedly was caught photographing an 11-year-old girl in a restroom at the South County Mall, 100 South County Center Way, in south St. Louis County, the report said.

Hamby allegedly directed McDorman to take photographs of female children in bathroom stalls and then share them with him, according to the probable-cause statement in the case.

McDorman allegedly admitted to taking those kinds of photos throughout the region and sharing them with Hamby, and Hamby allegedly admitted to encouraging McDorman to take the photos and share them with him. In addition, police allegedly found multiple suspicious photos on both McDorman’s and Hamby’s phones, according to the report said.

The pair also allegedly admitted to detectives that they had sexually abused the 4-year-old boy, the report said.

Detectives believe there are other victims in the area and ask anyone with information about other victims to call St. Louis County Police at 314-615-5400.
