A 30-year-old House Springs man was arrested after he reportedly was found driving a stolen car. He was arrested early Jan. 25, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported.
At about 2:50 a.m., a deputy saw a gray 2007 Ford Focus that had been reported stolen out of St. Louis County traveling on Gravois Road. The deputy turned on his lights, and the car stopped near Glendale Road in House Springs, the report said.
After confirming the car was the one reported stolen, the deputy arrested the driver. The man was taken to the Sheriff’s Office, where he was booked and held on outstanding warrants not related to the alleged car theft, according to the report.
The Sheriff’s Office will seek a charge against the man through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for first-degree tampering, spokesman Grant Bissell said.
