Arnold Police arrested a 50-year-old Herculaneum man for allegedly stealing a canned air duster from the Walmart store, 2201 Michigan Ave. The man was found unconscious in the back seat of the SUV after he apparently inhaled some of the air duster’s contents, police reported.
Officers were called at about 5 p.m. Dec. 28 to the store due to the alleged theft. They found the man passed out in the back seat of a 2008 Hyundai Sante Fe, the report said.
The officers administered aid to the man, who regained consciousness. After being revived, he allegedly became combative and resisted arrest, but he was taken into custody without further incident, according to the report.
The man was transported to an area hospital for treatment due to apparently inhaling an intoxicant, the report said.
The man was issued a summons to appear in Arnold Municipal Court for alleged stealing and resisting arrest, Detective Lt. Jeremy Christopher said.
