Eureka Police are investigating the theft of two air conditioners from the Genesis Church office, 102 Wengler Road. One of the air conditioners was valued at $1,600 and the other at $2,500, police reported.
The church’s pastor called police at about 7:40 p.m. Aug. 16 when the building’s security system alerted him that the building’s temperature was rising. He said he was unable to adjust the temperature by using the app, and when he went to the office, he found the air conditioners were gone, the report said.
As of Aug. 28, the air conditioners had not been recovered, and no suspects had been identified, Capt. Michael Werges said. Anyone with information about the theft should call Eureka Police at 636-938-6600.
