The owner of Tribe Salon and Spa in Arnold posted this image of a man seen in surveillance video Nov. 25 reportedly breaking into the business at 3924 Jeffco Blvd. The man allegedly returned to the same shopping plaza and broke into two more businesses and attempted to break into two others.

Arnold Police are trying to identify a man seen in surveillance video breaking into three businesses and trying to get into two other businesses at a shopping plaza off Jeffco Boulevard near Telegraph Road. The man allegedly damaged five doors and stole money from three businesses over a five-day period, authorities reported.

The man allegedly stole about $300 in cash and caused an estimated $6,200 in damage, Arnold Police reported.

The first alleged burglary occurred about 7 a.m. Nov. 25 at the Tribe Salon and Spa, 3924 Jeffco Blvd. A white man wearing a blue hooded jacket, black pants, gloves and white medical mask smashed the front glass door with a hatchet and took a cash drawer that contained $150 in cash and rent checks from the salon’s stylist, the report said.

The owner of Tribe Salon posted video surveillance images of the man inside the business on Facebook and offered a reward to anyone who can help identify him.

A man wearing the same clothing, mask and gloves from the footage from Tribe Salon was seen in video surveillance trying to pry open a back door at the Local House Restaurant and Bar, 3946 Jeffco Blvd., early Nov. 28. The restaurant’s door was damaged but not opened, and it did not appear anyone got inside the business. The damage to the door was estimated at $1,000, the report said.

Also on Nov. 28, back doors were damaged at Good 4-U Nutrition, 3940 Jeffco Blvd.; Jackson Hewitt Tax Service, 3936 Jeffco Blvd.; and K Nails, 3934 Jeffco Blvd., police reported.

The door at Jackson Hewitt was not opened, but the damage to the door was estimated at $1,000, according to the report.

About $75 was missing from a cash box at Good 4-U Nutrition, and the owner said nine checks were missing from the store’s checkbook. The damage to the store’s door was estimated at $1,000, the report said.

At K Nails, a cash register was damaged and about $80 was taken from it. The business owner estimated it would cost $500 to repair the register and $1,000 to repair the door, Arnold Police reported.

As of Dec. 1, the suspect had not been identified, and none of the money or missing checks had been recovered, Detective Lt. Jason Valentine said. He asks anyone with information about the incidents to call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
