Festus Police are investigating the theft of a trailer parked outside Chip’s 66 Gas Station, 1245 American Legion Drive. The 13-foot PJ Low-Pro dump trailer was stolen Nov. 2, Festus Chief Tim Lewis said.
He said the victim, a man, reported the theft to authorities at 8 a.m., but surveillance video indicated the trailer had been stolen earlier that morning.
“It looks like it was stolen by someone in a gray Ford F-150 (pickup),” Lewis said. “You can’t tell much (about the driver).”
As of Nov. 3, the trailer had not been recovered and no arrests had been made, Lewis said. The investigation is ongoing, and Lewis asks anyone with information about the theft to call Festus Police at 636-937-3646.
