A 26-year-old Festus man recently was arrested after police allegedly found him hiding inside a dance studio near the Walmart Supercenter in Arnold, where he reportedly had stolen merchandise, Arnold Police report.
At 3:25 p.m. Sept. 17, Arnold Police got a call that the man had stolen $49.68 in items from the Walmart store and then fled from store security, the report said.
A short time later, he was found at a nearby dance studio, where he allegedly was hiding in a restroom, Arnold Police Capt. Robert Ruckman said.
The man previously had been arrested for allegedly stealing from the Walmart store on Truman Boulevard in the Festus-Crystal City area and was prohibited from going to Walmart stores, Ruckman added.
Arnold Police booked the man, issued him summonses to appear in Municipal Court for misdemeanor stealing and trespassing for going in the Walmart and hiding in the dance studio and then released him, Ruckman said.
