A 25-year-old Pacific woman was arrested for suspicion of driving while intoxicated after she was allegedly seen speeding and weaving between lanes on Fifth Street in Eureka, police reported.

At about 2:10 a.m. Sept. 11, officers saw the woman driving a 2010 Ford Focus west on Fifth Street. She was going 52 mph in a 40-mph zone and kept swerving over the center line, the report said.

The officers turned on their cruiser’s lights and sirens and stopped the woman. She told the officers she was a bartender at local bar and that she had consumed alcoholic beverages, including shots, according to the report.

There also was allegedly an open alcohol container in the car, and the woman said she got that from the bar she works at, the report said.

The woman allegedly failed field sobriety tests, and she was arrested. She was taken to the Police Station, where she was booked, according to the report.

At the Police Station, the woman allegedly registered a 0.162 percent blood-alcohol content, the report said. In Missouri, 0.08 percent is the legal limit.

She was released to a sober driver with summonses to appear in Eureka Municipal Court for alleged DWI, failure to maintain a single lane and speeding, Lt. Brett Grittini said.
