An 18-year-old Byrnes Mill woman has been arrested for allegedly stealing nearly $4,600 in items from her former roommate. The theft happened at an apartment on Crosswinds Drive in Arnold between April and June 17, the day the woman was arrested, Arnold Police report.
Stolen items included a laptop computer, a mini refrigerator and jewelry. Altogether, the items were valued at $4,595, the report said.
Byrnes Mill Police located the suspect and took her into custody. The mini refrigerator was recovered, according to the report.
The woman already was wanted on outstanding warrants in Arnold for driving a vehicle with no insurance and in St. Louis County for stealing. She was transported to the Arnold Police Department, where she was booked and then held for St. Louis County authorities, Arnold Police Detective Lt. James Jones said.
He said Arnold Police will seek felony stealing charges against the woman through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
