A hiker discovered a man's body at about 6:45 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 9, in Herculaneum City Park.
As of this morning, Aug. 10, authorities were still attempting to reach next of kin and had not yet released the name of the deceased, a 38-year-old St. Louis County man, Herculaneum Police Chief Sharia Kyle said.
She said the hiker encountered the body along a trail in the park.
“It was just someone passing by,” Kyle said. “It is not considered suspicious at this time, but it is still under investigation.”
She said no other details are being released at this time.
