Arnold Police are looking for a 34-year-old St. Louis woman who fled from officers after allegedly being found with a needle in her arm in a car parked outside WoodSpring Suites, 888 Arnold Commons Drive. The incident occurred at 10:03 a.m. Feb. 3, a report said.
An officer found a 2007 Ford Fusion in the hotel’s parking lot with what appeared to be a female driver slumped over at the wheel. When the officer approached the car, he allegedly saw the woman with a needle in her arm, which was extended in a male passenger’s lap, Detective Lt. James Jones said.
When the officer called in for additional units, the woman woke up and drove away. That officer, along with another one, attempted to pull over the car, but the woman didn’t stop, and police chased her along I-55 to the north city limits, but ended the pursuit because it was deemed too dangerous, Jones said.
Later, the male passenger was located and interviewed, but he does not face any charges, Jones said.
Arnold Police identified the 34-year-old woman as a suspect and listed her as wanted for traffic violations and resisting arrest. As of Feb. 9, she had not been taken into custody, Jones said.
