Arnold Police are investigating the theft of $654.91 worth of Lego and Pokemon items from Target, 3849 Vogel Road. Detective Lt. Jeremy Christopher said reports of the theft of Lego sets have been increasing recently.
“I don’t know why they are stealing Legos,” he said. “I see more (reports of Lego thefts) than you would expect to see. It is odd to see someone steal Legos and Pokemon cards. I don’t know if these thefts are for resale.”
The theft at Target happened at about 6:30 p.m. Dec. 30. A man and woman put the items in a shopping cart, but when they paid for other items, they allegedly hid the toys under the items they paid for in the cart and left the store, the report said.
The two were seen leaving the store’s parking lot in a Chevrolet Equinox, according to the report.
As of Jan. 11, none of the items had been recovered, and the suspects had not been identified, Christopher said. He asks anyone with information about the theft to call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
