Arnold Police arrested a 42-year-old Linn Creek man after finding him asleep in a utility truck that was reported stolen by Pevely Police. The 2008 Chevrolet truck, which is owned by DDH Enterprises LLC, had been parked outside of Walmart, 2201 Jeffco Blvd., for two straight days, police reported.

An officer at about 11:20 a.m. March 14 checked the truck’s license plate after seeing it in the same parking spot for two days. He discovered the truck was reported stolen on March 5, and he found the man inside the cab, the report said.

The officer also learned the man was wanted by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office on a warrant and arrested the man, according to the report.

The man was taken to the Police Station, where he was booked and held for the Sheriff’s Office, the report said.

Arnold Police will seek a charge against the man through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for tampering, Detective Lt. Jeremy Christopher said.
