A 34-year-old Arnold man and a 33-year-old St. Louis man recently were arrested for assault following an altercation at the Tenbrook Station Lounge, 2946 Fannie Drive, in Arnold. The incident occurred just after 10 p.m. May 20, Arnold Police report.

The two men, one not wearing a shirt, showed up at the bar and appeared intoxicated, and an employee asked them to leave. An altercation ensued, and as the two men were being escorted outside, they assaulted the employee, a woman. Other patrons intervened and helped the woman, who was not seriously hurt, Arnold Police Detective Sgt. James Jones said.

The two men got in a vehicle and were trying to flee the scene, when an Arnold Police Officer pulled them over. The Arnold man, who was driving, was arrested for suspicion of driving while intoxicated and driving with a revoked license, as well as assault and trespassing. The passenger, the St. Louis man, also was arrested for assault and trespassing, Jones said.

They were booked and released pending application for warrants. Charges will be sought against them through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Jones said.
