A 23-year-old Arnold man recently was arrested for unlawful use of a weapon, following a road rage incident, Arnold Police report.

At about 1 p.m. Jan. 29, the man, driving a black Cadillac, allegedly was speeding and driving erratically in the 1900 block of Richardson Road and pulled into the Auto Zone parking lot, 1998 Richardson Road, behind another man driving in the area, Arnold Police Capt. Robert Ruckman said.

The 23-year-old apparently was mad about something that occurred while both men were driving on Richardson and as the victim got out of his vehicle on the parking lot, the 23-year-old reportedly drove up next to him and threatened him with a gun, Ruckman said.

“He pulled out a handgun and displayed it,” Ruckman added.

Police got a call about the incident and found the man about an hour later after tracing his license plate number.

In addition, police found the gun while searching a home that belonged to one of the suspect’s friends, Arnold Police reported.

The 23-year-old was booked and then released pending the application for warrants.

Arnold Police will seek felony charges against the man through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Ruckman said.
